What we see most on iPads
An iPad is not a big phone: the glass is bonded differently, the battery is larger, and the housing has to come apart without breaking anything. That calls for someone who does it daily.
- 01
Cracked glass
The digitiser is split but the picture still works. Often replaceable on its own — on newer models glass and screen are bonded and go as one piece.
- 02
No picture
Lines, blotches or a black screen while the iPad still powers on. Then it is the panel itself, not just the glass.
- 03
Battery holds nothing
Empty before the day is done. An iPad battery is glued in, so this is work for someone with the right tools and patience.
- 04
Charging port
The cable no longer grips, or only at one angle. Usually dirt in the port or plain wear — both are fixable.
- 05
Water damage
Ultrasonic cleaning of the board, and acting quickly. Only with specialists who genuinely do this, not the nearest shop.
- 06
Getting photos back
Won't boot but holds years of photos? There are labs that manage this. We will tell you honestly what the odds are.
Is repairing still worth it?
Not always, and we will say so. A few things that weigh in:
- 01
How old is it?
Does your iPad still get updates from Apple? If not, a repair is sometimes only a postponement. We think it through with you.
- 02
Cost against what it is worth
If the repair costs more than half of what the iPad is worth today, refurbished is often the smarter buy. We will say that too.
- 03
One fault or several?
Glass alone is straightforward. Glass and battery and connector on an older model: then it becomes arithmetic.
Roughly what does it cost?
Tablet and iPad repairs in the network start around €59. What yours costs depends on the model and the fault — the workshop gives you an exact price up front, no surprises afterwards.

Frequently asked
How long does an iPad repair take?+
Glass or battery is same-day at many workshops, sometimes while you wait. Water damage and data recovery take longer because of the cleaning and testing involved.
Can I post my iPad instead?+
Many workshops in the network accept devices by post. Mention it in your request and we will find one that does.
Do my photos and apps survive?+
For glass, screen, battery and charging port your data stays put. Back it up before you hand it over anyway — sensible before any repair.
Do I get a warranty?+
Yes, the workshop warrants the work and the part. How long differs per workshop; you hear that up front.
Do you repair it yourselves?+
No. We were at the bench from 2012, but these days we refer you on. That gets you a specialist rather than a generalist.
